I am a children’s writer and youth librarian who’s passionate about literature, libraries, and art. I love the creativity of children’s art work, the spontaneity of live jazz, and the warmth of heart-to-heart conversations. I earned an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College and have been published in Cricket and Ladybug magazines, The Christian Science Monitor, and other sources.
Maya Angelou once said: I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. Vermont College was a place that made me feel as if I’d come home to a community where I belonged, a feeling that continues to sustain my dream to have a children’s book published.
