For this 3-dimensional work of art, begin with a piece of blue cardstock as a base. Scribble on a piece of watercolor paper with white crayon, then paint with various shades of blue and lavender watercolor paint. Repeat this process with a lightweight piece of ribbed cardboard or paper. Let dry. Paint a fish on a piece of water color paper and let dry. Tear the blue painted watercolor paper and ribbed paper into strips, letting some white underlayer show for waves. Glue the strips onto the blue cardstock to form waves, keeping a section in the top wave open (a sort of pocket) to slip the fish in. Detail the fish with black paint to add fins, an eye, etc. Cut out the fish and set it in the wave pocket. Thanks to Lavonne Marshall for creating this sample.
